All About Lessons

The ISR Self Rescue Program is an investment into your child’s safety and well-being in addition to your own peace of mind. The program is designed for children ages 6 months to 6 years. Lessons are taught one-on-one, and customized to each child individually. Lessons are held Monday - Friday, for 10 minutes a day, and the program last for approximately 4-6 weeks.

Lessons are 100$/wk and there is a 125$ deposit due when you reserve your appointment time for lessons.
Roll Back to Float Infants to Early Walkers
The rollback to float program teaches your baby to independently turn themselves onto their back if ever face down in the water to safely breathe, rest, and float on their back.  This skill set takes about 6 weeks to accomplish
Swim-Float-Swim Solid Walkers
The swim-float-swim program teaches your child to swim underwater until they need to breathe, roll to their back for a few breaths until rested, then swim starting the sequence again.  This skill set takes approximately 6 weeks to accomplish.

Maintenance Lessons
After completing their ISR Self-Rescue skillset, maintenance lessons help students to maintain their skills and confidence throughout the year. Ideally, maintenance lessons should be scheduled at the intervals recommended by the instructor, ranging from once or twice a week to once a month
Refresher Lessons
Refresher lessons are suggested every six months. As children grow, their skills will need to be adjusted to their new height and weight. Refreshers are highly recommended to refine their skills as they’ve most likely hit developmental milestones since the last time they’ve seen us. Since these skills are not new, refresher lessons usually take approximately two weeks

STEPS TO PREVENT DROWNING

Absolutely No child is Drown Proof

1. The most critical line of defense is adult supervision. No level of aquatic skill can replace active supervision. If your child is ever missing, look in the water first.

2. Install a permanent 4-sided fence with self-locking gates. Ensure that the pool fence is at least 3-5 feet from the pool edge.
3. Alarms
3. Make sure all doors and windows leading to the pool are locked and alarmed.
4. Survival Swimming Lessons
4. A moment's inattention does not have to cost a child his life. ISR's Self-Rescue training is an added layer of protection, teaching your child water survival skills in a completely safe environment.
5. CPR
5. If an emergency happens, it is essential parents and families are prepared. Learn to perform CPR on children and adults and remember to update those skills regularly.
